Fall Is Here! What, Already?

So, apparently, fall is here. Well, in Bend, it is still summer. We have company over this weekend and are looking forward to hiking the Green Lakes Loop trail. We have heard that it is majestic and one of the best day hikes in Central Oregon. So, while it may be raining in your neck of the woods, it is still warm and sunny in ours... I guess that is typical of Oregon September's though.

We know it is fall though, because all of our high schoolers are back in school. My girls are Sophomores now, no longer the young ones at school or in youth group. Last year proved to be really impactful and I can't wait for what the Lord has in store for this next year of their life and mine too. Bible study starts in a few weeks. Women, if you are not currently in a Bible study, please get in one. It is the best thing you can do for yourself. I recommend Kay Arthur's Precepts courses. They are inductive studies that really offer "meat" instead of "milk." Anyone in Bend reading this is welcome to come with me.

Another fall barometer is that it is Ryan's busy season at work. He has had a lot of "pushes" to get work submitted before the busy holiday season. They like to have all of the new systems in place before the whole company is swamped, which is a very proactive approach that Ryan enjoys. Apparently, even he will have to work in the warehouse for part of November and December. Interesting that they would have him working in a warehouse... doesn't seem cost effective. He is excited for the new experience though!

Also on our list this fall are Beaver football games. Nothing says fall quite like football! We have season tickets again this year are are looking forward to the games, but not really all of the drives over to Corvallis. Oh, how we love Corvallis and the beautiful fall colors. It is a picturesque town, epically during this season. So, "Go Beavs!" even if it doesn't look like a promising year. Can't wait to visit our favorite Thai restaurant, Tarn Tip, and our friends David and Zoe and Jan and Phil while in town too.

Much love until our next post.
