Ryan and I just returned from Mexico over Christmas break. We went with our good friends David and Zoe. Ryan has know Zoe since 3rd grade and we were all at OSU together. We traveled to Pupuerto Vallarta and stayed at the RIU Palace Pacific. The all inclusive resort was finished being built in October, so it was brand new. The food was excellent and the amenities were such a good value. We can't wait to go back to another RIU. If you haven't been to one, go!
While in Mexico, we relaxed. It was wonderful to go on a vacation where you didn't need another vacation (from the one you were just on) when you got home. We sat by the pool and ocean and read. We body boarded and swam in the ocean. Our trip downtown was nice as well. Our favorite adventure was a half day horse back riding tour. It was so cool. We rode horses into the Sierra Madres to a waterfall and then ate lunch back at the ranch. By far, the best margaritas ever!!!
We are happy to be home and glad that we had such a great time relaxing and laughing in the Mexican sun!
